The Stover Center for Constitutional Studies and Moral Leadership scholars traveled to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for an end of the year banquet in May 2011. The students toured the Heinz History Center which featured an exhibit on Benjamin Franklin. The students were then welcomed to the Duquesne Club for a tour and special dinner with President and Mrs. Timothy Thyreen, Executive Vice President Doug Lee, Rev. James Tinnemeyer, and Dr. Lawrence Stratton. Following dinner, the Rev. James Tinnemeyer spoke to the students about persevering through hard times and following the Lord’s path for their lives. Rev. James Tinnemeyer is the Executive Pastor at Shadyside Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Duke University, University of Pittsburgh Law School and Princeton Theological Seminary. The evening concluded with President Thyreen presenting seniors Madeline Snyder and Melissa Fox with plaques in recognition of their four year dedication to the Stover Center program.
